Allow me to introduce you to this amazing advocate from Charlotte, NC, Mrs.Shalisha Hardwrich. A  27 year old wife and mother. Who just recently opened a new clothing boutique alongside her children. She is also the founder of Lisha’s Helping Hands, which has been an active non-profit in Charlotte, NC for about 3+ years.

Lisha’s Helping Hands hosts events and programs for the youth several times a year. “Youth Day” is one of the events that her organization is best known for.  “Youth Day” is a huge community give back event with prizes, vendors, resources, free food and performances. With this event she is able to bring the community together for a day of fun and education. Lisha’s Helping Hands also host an annual youth night out an open discussion held at Urban Air, each year with this event she allows the youth the platform to speak openly and freely about issues in the community, schools etc.

Lisha’s Helping Hands also host year round events where they give back to the homeless community. In 2019 she added a community baby shower for new and expecting moms. Mrs. Shalisha's mission is to make Charlotte a family again, and bring back the village. Her organization aims to reach the youth and give them a voice in their communities!

She uses her platform to support other community organizations that advocate against domestic violence and sexual assault. She’s a survivor of both and she uses her testimony to encourage others in her community.

Mrs. Shalisha was sexually assaulted as a child, She survived a domestic violence relationship and most recently a sexual assault by an “old friend”. To know, Mrs. Shalisha Hardwrich, is to know the true epitome of overcoming circumstances that would have left most broken. By facing her circumstances head on she has found the strength to not only change her life but, the lives of others.

Youth Event March 28, 2020 at 2 pm
This event is the youth open discussion where our goal is to bridge the gap on communication with the youth for the purpose of building the kingdom. There are many issues plaguing our community and a lot of our youth and the key piece that is missing is God! Our speakers are there to teach and guide the topics, but we're also there to listen and give the youth a chance to have a voice on various topics. Topics can range from bullying, do I have to go to church?, relationships, sexuality, what happens after you're saved, etc. They'll choose between various topics or bring their own topics they may have questions or are want to address...

The event location is at Urban Air. The youth will have access to all the parks attractions as well as a free pizza lunch.
